old home town looks the same
As I step down from the train
And there to meet me is
my mama and papa
 
기차에서 내려서
바라본 고향집은 그대로야
그리고 어머니와 아버지가
나를 맞아주시지
 
Down the road
I look and there runs Mary
Hair of gold and lips like cherries
It's good to touch
the green green grass of home
 
길 아래로는 달려가는
금발에 체리같은 입술의
메리의 모습이 보여
고향의 푸른 잔디를
만져보니 정말 좋군
 
Yes, they'll all come to meet me
Arms a reaching, smiling sweetly

팔을 벌리고, 환하게 웃으며
모두가 날 맞으러 나와 줄거야
고향의 푸른 잔디를
만져보니 정말 좋아
 
The old house is still standing
though the paint is cracked and dry
And there's that old oak tree
that I used to play on
 
페인트 칠이 말라 갈라지긴 했지만
그 옛집은 아직도 그대로 있고
내가 올라가 놀던
참나무도 그대로 있어

I walk with my sweet Mary

오솔길을 따라 아래로
금발에 체리 같은 입술의
메리와 함께 걸었어
고향의 푸른 잔디를
만져보니 정말 좋군
 
Then I awake and look around me
At four grey walls that surround me
And I realize yes, I was onl　y dreaming
 
그 때, 깨어나 주위를 둘러보니
난 사방에 회색빛 벽에 둘러싸여 있었어
내가 꿈을 꾸었다는걸 깨달았지

왜냐하면 보초병과 슬픈 얼굴의
늙은 신부가 있었거든
날이 밝으면 팔짱을 끼고 걸어 나갈 테지

느껴 볼 거야

그 오래된 참나무 그늘아래로
