Sally called when she got the word

Well I rushed to the window, and I looked outside

As a big limousine rode up on-to Alice's drive

난 창문으로 달려가서 밖을 바라봤어
난 내 눈을 믿을 수가 없었어
앨리스네 집 앞으로 커다란 리무진이 들어오고 있었지

And the big limousine disappeared *

그리고 나서 샐리가 다시 전화해서
내 기분이 어떤지 묻더군 그리고 이렇게 말했어
"앨리스를 잊어 버리는 걸 도와 줄 수 있어, 앨리스는 가버렸지만
난 여전히 여기 있잖아. 나도 24년간 기다려 왔다구"
그러는 사이 그 커다란 리무진은 사라졌지
